For over 80 years, The Radburn Players has been bringing quality musicals, dramas, and comedies to Northern New Jersey.
What started out in the boardroom of the Fair Lawn’s historic Plaza Building on January 2, 1930 has flourished into one of the longest-running community theatres in New Jersey. Since 1930 our stage has never gone dark. Hundreds enjoyed our production of Man of La Mancha in 2005 (the performances were hailed as “Broadway quality” by our thrilled audiences), and laughed until they cried at the superb British comedy Run For Your Wife, staged in 2006, and at The Complete Works of Wiliam Shakespeare (Abridged) just last year. In past years audiences also enjoyed our acclaimed performances of Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, Barefoot in the Park, South Pacific, Love, Loss and What I Wore, Noises Off, Who’s Afraid of Virginia Wolfe, Rabbit Hole, Breaking Legs, That Championship Season, Vanities, and many other great shows. Member support ensures that our historic cultural asset continues in the twenty-first century. Members also receive regular updates on shows and special events, and get a discount to each performance.
Be a Part of New Jersey Theatrical History!
You can help assure that a unique New Jersey institution around since 1930, stays healthy and continues to enrich our community’s social and cultural benefits for years to come! For 85 years The Players has been staging quality musicals, dramas and comedies just down the street from our own backyards. Since 1930 our stage has never gone dark, with over 200 shows staged overall.
Supporting The Radburn Players seems particularly important, given that our group provides quality, affordable entertainment. Why spend an hour fighting the traffic and paying exorbitant ticket and parking prices in order to see a show in New York City (easily a $500 evening for the family)? Instead, you can just come down to the Radburn Association Grange, park for free, lay down 15 bucks per ticket (10 if you’re a member, 12 if you’re a student or senior), and enjoy an evening of quality theater. Right here!
This past season, Annapurna and Murder at Rundown Abbey garnered rave reviews. In past seasons, That Championship Season and The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged) delighted audiences. The Players’ production of Man of La Mancha was hailed as “Broadway quality,” and audiences also have enjoyed our acclaimed performances of Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, Barefoot in the Park, South Pacific, Noises Off, and Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf, just to name just a few. We're also proud of our Annual Original Works Competition, through which we present free staged readings that feature the work of today's most promising new regional playwrights!
We invite you to take part in the Players this year, whether you simply enjoy one of our quality productions, try out for a part, help build a set, learn about lights, sound and other theatre craft, or attend one of our Saturday night Open Meeting or “Meet the Cast” parties, complete with complimentary wine, cheese and good times!
To assure that The Radburn Players continues, we also depend on your active annual membership, which remains only $15 for an entire family and $10 per person – and that includes a discount to every show!
So please contribute your support to this fabulous amenity, now in its 85th year! You can begin by joining the Players. You can download the membership form here!
We look forward to seeing you soon!
